African American Artist Kerream Jones

Kerream Jones is one of the artists whose work is featured on this page.

Born in 1978 in Reading, PA, he has been painting since his first year of high school.

In addition to being passionate about painting, and travelling around the U.S. being featured in various art shows, Kerream founded Kamarja Art, a publishing and fine art company, in 1999.

His images frequently feature African American people in colours and shapes suggestive of rainbows.

African American Artist Frank Morrison

Born in Massachusetts, Frank Morrison grew up in New Jersey. At an early age, he developed a fascination for urban hip-hop culture, including local music, DJs and dancers, parties and graffiti artists.

As a member of the Sugar Hill Gang, Morrison break-danced and body-popped, across the U.S.A. and Europe. At the Louvre in Paris, he discovered visual art for the first time. He then started haunting New York's many museums and art galleries.

Frank Morrison's images are often caricatures that reflect the life and times of Black urban dwellers.
